St. Thomas Library: Summer Reading

Summer Reading Challenge

June 12th to September 5th, 2023

We begin our 11th Annual Summer Reading Challenge on Monday, June 12, 2023.

Participating students will read a total of twenty books, ten chosen from lists of possible award-winning books and ten books of their choice. All ages, including parents, faculty, staff, and alumni, are encouraged to participate! Challenge participants and finishers will celebrate with a special event in Fall 2023. Books students read for the Summer Reading Challenge can count towards the King County Library System 2023 Summer Reading Challenge AND STS 100 Book Challenge, too!

Join this year's reading challenge by emailing library@stthomasschool.org.

You can find additional book suggestions by grade above. We hope you enjoy reading exclusively for fun this summer!

What reading counts?

You can read alone or with someone else, a paper book or on an e-reader, you can also listen to the books. The key is having fun and logging the books you read via a brief book review via Biblionasium (a safe online site for young readers).

How do you track your reading?

Ms. Quarterman will be setting up and managing the Biblionasium accounts. She will also provide guidance on how to use Biblionasium correctly in relation to this challenge. Please join this year's reading challenge by emailing Ms. Quarterman.

When do I need to finish my reading?

All twenty books must be read by Tuesday, September 5, 2023. Challenge participants and finishers will celebrate with a special event in Fall 2023.
