St. Thomas Library: Summer Reading

Summer Reading Challenge

This year we will be reading twenty-one books, ten that have been designated as Caldecott, Geisel, or Newbery contenders for the coming year and eleven books of your individual choice. All ages, including parents, faculty, staff and alumni, are encouraged to join this summer challenge. You can read alone or with someone else, a paper book or on an e-reader, you can also listen to the books. The key is having fun and logging the books you read via a brief book review via Biblionasium (a safe online site for young readers). Dr. DeLap will be setting up and managing the Biblionasium accounts. This year when you sign up, Dr. DeLap will also provide guidance on how to use Biblionasium correctly in relation to this challenge.

Please join this year's reading challenge by emailing Dr. Alpha DeLap.

All twenty books must be read by Tuesday, September 14, 2021. Challenge participants and finishers will celebrate with a special event in Fall 2021. Please remember that the books you read this summer for the STS Challenge also count towards the King County Library System 2021 Summer Reading Challenge as well as the STS 100 Book Challenge, too!

You can find additional book suggestions by grade. We hope you enjoy reading exclusively for fun this summer.
